Sheep
Our family has been raising sheep in Louisiana for over 10 years, we brought our first livestock to Ohio in 2020.
Our hairsheep are mostly katahdin, with some mixed with dorper or painted dessert. We currently have four generations including our matriarch Ewelanda in Louisiana, who is still going strong birthing twins and triplets with amazing maternal instincts.

Chickens
We started off with a dozen Rhode Island Reds and half a dozen Plymouth Partridge Rocks, but have steadily added more breeds for the past three years achieving a barnyard blend who lays a whole rainbow of eggs.
Jersey Giants, Brahmas, Silkies, Turkens, Easter Eggers, Welsummers, Mystic Onyx, Deathlayers, Olive Eggers, and Marans made up our flock until 2021. Then we added Buckeyes, Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Delawares, Ayam Cemanis, whatever Jeff is, and then we lost track.

Turkeys
We started off with what we thought were a few Heritage (Standard) Bronze birds, but they rapidly gained weight and we realized that we had been given Broad Breasted Bronze.
We are currently raising a mix of Bourbon Reds, Narragansett, and Heritage Bronze. So far they aren’t nearly as friendly as our original group, but they have the instincts and foraging abilities of heritage birds which we desired.

Rabbits
We started with a pair of Silverfox rabbits and then we got babies!

Geese
We have a beautiful pair of Toulouse geese, Gideon and Gretchen. Gretchen has been laying eggs and Gideon is guarding them ferociously. We are excitedly anticipating goslings on the farm this spring!
